Dr. Heide’s Ph.D. dissertation “Attosecond-fast electron dynamics in graphene and graphene-based interfaces” has brought him a total of three awards! First he received the Ohm prize of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Physics department, which is awarded each year to the best theses of the department. Further, he received the the 2021 Dissertation Award from DPG’s Solid State Physics Section, as well as the 2021 Dissertation Award 2021 from the German Society for Applied Optics. Dr. Heide did his Ph.D. work in Dr. Hommelhoff’s research group at FAU.
